Reasons why the sun, moon, and stars were created.

Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Genesis 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Genesis 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

Genesis 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Reasons why the sun, moon, and stars were created:

  1. To divide the day from the night.
  2. For signs
  3. For seasons
  4. For days
  5. For years
  6. To give light upon the earth
  7. To rule the day
  8. To rule the night

The earth was created before the sun, moon, and stars--and even the firmament itself. The earth is separate and distinct from all celestial bodies. It is not a planet.

The Bible teaches that the sun, moon, and stars are servants to the earth. This is not what modern man is taught. He is taught that the earth is just another planet--and a mediocre one at that. They call this foolish proclamation, "the Copernican principle of mediocrity". To place this exquisite, habitable earth on par with barren, burning hot, freezing cold, lifeless, no-oxygen planets and call it mediocre is in no way scientific.--it is madness. Only a mad man would look at this exquiste, watered, fruitful, beautiful earth and say that it is not as good as a planet that would KILL HIM if he tried to live on it. Only a madman on fire from the devil would seek to mentally dethrone the exquisite earth from its proper place--he can't live on a planet but he'll keep talking about how great planets are and how shabby the earth is.

The earth is separate and distinct from every celestial body.

The earth is unique, and the only habitable place for a man to live; yet the general consensus today is that the earth is just a mediocre planet and that the sun is just a mediocre star. Mediocre? Put us all on the moon today--this second--and see how long we will last. Take the sun away and see how long the earth, as we know it, will last. Not a blade of grass could survive.

The Copernican principle of mediocrity is a philosophical rant spouted throughout the academic community. It worms its way into textbooks across the land, including the so-called Christian textbooks with their pictures of the solar system and the earth in orbit with the planets. Many "Christian" textbooks are tools of the devil used to deceive the next generation of children raised in professedly Christian homes. The children's minds are spoiled and only by a powerful act of God will they ever leave their deception. Meanwhile, the truth, of necessity, is growing quieter and quieter as the days go by. The night cometh when no man can work. Imagine being spoiled and there is no one to tell you the truth. What an awful position to be in. I lived without Jesus for a long time. I eventually was saved, but what devastation I wrought in those wretched years! What terrible abuses I took from society and its offerings! What horrid memories haunt me! If only church people would believe the truth--but most won't...and their children will pay the price.

The earth is central to all creation. All history occurs here. Man is born here. Man dies here. Only a mad man can look around this marvel then promulgate the Copernican principle of mediocrity relegating the earth to be nothing more or less that any barren, uninhabited celestial body.

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

they received not the love of the truth.... And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth... II Thessalonians 2:10

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind...Romans 1:28
